Turning Refugees into Change Makers

A refugee-led organization empowering communities through regenerative agriculture, education, and sustainable livelihoods in Nakivale, Uganda.

Empowering Refugees Through Innovation

Unidos Social Innovation Center was established in 2018 by a group of refugees living in Nakivale to address food insecurity and create livelihood opportunities after food rations were drastically reduced.

Today, we serve over 20,000 refugees from Congo, Burundi, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Sudan. We address hunger crises and create livelihoods through regenerative approaches that restore both land and hope.

Our mission is to empower young refugees through appropriate training and teach them inclusive entrepreneurial skills that enable them to create their own jobs and opportunities.
